It is made of red thick 100% merino wool, that doesn’t scratch and keeps you or your child toasty. You can wrap it twice around the neck, it measures approximately 86 cm circumference  and 10 cm height.

After using them just throw them in a wash bag and put it in the washing machine then they are ready to use again! I would recommend bamboo cotton for a sensitive skin, as they are very soft. Furthermore, you can use it for kids!

It can be worn as is or folded in half, it is quite tall.

The child size measures approximately 32 cm height and 50 cm circumference (it is very stretchy, so can accommodate very big heads too).

It is quite light and lacey, I use “sock” yarn or similar with 75% wool and 25%nylon or polyester. Exact composition will be confirmed by me, subject to your desires and yarn available options.

I am using a thin 100% cotton yarn, so it runs on a smaller side, approximately 23×18 cm without a handle.

You can wash it in the washing machine, and dry outside, flat, so it keeps its original shape.

It is made to order, so please allow at least 10 business days for me to buy the yarn and crochet the bag.

I have chosen to use a thin but very warm melange of wool and alpaca for this bonnet, it provides the lightness, beautiful drape and unparalleled breathability.

▪︎ CARE: Hand wash please, don’t use fabric softener, dry flat to ensure the item remains soft and mild.

*Benefits of natural wool:
– warm & comfortable, allows the skin to breathe naturally and discourages sweating, particularly for babies who haven’t learned to regulate heat very well and are prone to over-heating in synthetic fibres.
– Wool is an insulator and holds the body’s heat well. Alpaca is believed to be up to 7 times more warm than sheep’s wool!
– it is thin and perfect to wear in all seasons, not just winter.
– there will never be a need for an iron! The natural properties of merino wool ensure that it bounces back to it’s original state.

For these bonnets I am using a wonderful yarn, which is made from 50% superwash merino wool and 50% cotton. This unique composition was developed especially for babies and offers many benefits:

• it has a smooth and almost silky touch, with absolutely zero scratching
• it combines the best of both natural materials: the warmth and elasticity from wool together with durability of cotton.
• both materials are 100% natural and the skin breathes easily through the fabric, while being warm and protected at the same time
• the melange of merino and cotton makes a lot of sense for mid-season (spring, autumn) and can be worn even in summer. Merino wool ensures thermoregulation, which is very important for small babies and cotton can even either hold the warmth or cool down in the summer.
• Who has the time to handwash with babies??? Ahh. This bonnet can be washed in the washing machine in the delicate cycle.
• Array of pastel, muted colors is available, pinks, blues, neutrals etc

Original and eye-catching earrings, featuring very cute flower “granny square” and two contrasting colours.

Designed and handmade by me, using 100% cotton thread (thin but very sturdy and keeping the form) and sterling silver findings (hooks, jump rings etc) also shaped and hand-hammered for durability and a nice finish.

Will bring a touch of individuality in this one-of-a-kind piece.
